Kona Kollege is our three-day training program that takes place at our corporate office and teaches the ins-and-outs of the Kona business. Curious as to what happens after you’ve left Kona Kollege? When you encounter an issue on your truck at 8pm? That’s where you’ll feel the real support.
Our entire franchising system is built on this principle: “What if everyone had the same amount of information as the most successful franchisee?” We want to spread the knowledge. We want to have the answers when you have the questions. It is very important to us that our franchisees feel like they have a team of people working with them to build their business.
We have a corporate staff of over 150 people that are available and ready to make your business great. Most franchising systems look at their franchises as cash cows for corporate. That’s not us. This is a partnership. We’re all in this together – for the betterment of the brand and for the betterment of your business.

KONA KONVENTION
Once a year we gather to share ideas, learn, hear what’s new at Kona Ice, and have a good time. We are one big Kona family and the best thing we can do for each other is sharpen each other. Our annual Kona Konvention is where the magic happens.
KONOLOGY
We define Konology as the business of shaved ice. There’s much to learn when starting your own business, especially if it’s new to you. We have an online platform that’s full of training videos for you and future employees to allow learning at your pace. In addition, we have several in-person training opportunities such as KEV Certification (deep dive into the operation of the truck), Masters Klass (a 2-day course designed for veteran franchisees to take growth to the next level), and Manager Development Accelerator (a 2-day course designed to help those who you hire as managers think and operate with an ownership mentality).
MARKETING
A large part of our Kona Corporate team is the Kona Kreative department. We have an entire department dedicated to creating marketing pieces specific to events, contests, and the like. Thousands of marketing pieces are readily available to our franchisees to help market their business. From videos to graphics, we have you covered!
KONA COACHES
You’ve learned everything you can learn from our videos and our online learning platform, but you want some real life examples. Enter your Kona Coach. All of our Kona Coaches are current franchisees that act as mentors to give you advice in every day, real life situations. You’re assigned a Kona Coach while you’re here at Kona Kollege.
